White Sangria

Easy White Sangria Recipe

Nothing says summer days like a glass of sangria!  White sangria is super refreshing on a hot summer day.  It is also a great way to use up extra fruit that maybe on verge of being too ripe to eat.

You can be creative on the fruits you use including: peaches, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, pineapples, apples, mangoes and the list goes on!

While you can drink white sangria immediately after making, I recommend waiting at least 1 hour.  This allows the fruit and the alcohol to meld together.

Common Questions when making White Sangria:

What type of fruit do you recommend?

I love to experiment with different fruits when making sangria as each combination gives a different flavor.

What is the best wine to use when you make white wine sangria?

Use an inexpensive white wine! I usually recommend using a crisp white wine like a pinot grigio or a sauvignon blanc. Not sure what a crisp white wine is? Check out this article by VinePair.

What white wine should I use for sangria?

A dry, inexpensive white like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc is perfect, the brandy, peach schnapps and fruit bring plenty of flavor. Save the fancy bottle for sipping.

How far ahead can I make white sangria?

At least 1 hour in the refrigerator is the minimum for the fruit to flavor the wine, but overnight is even better. Hold the prosecco until right before serving so it keeps its sparkle.

Any combination of apples, peaches, mangoes, pineapple, strawberries, blackberries or raspberries works, use what looks good at the store. Firmer fruits like apples hold up best if it sits overnight.
